Since launching ANOH on November 2014, one of the main focuses has been getting more OH practitioners involved in the Network. Up to this point, we depended on individuals advertising through personal contacts and occasional communications at international/national conferences. There was a need for an official advertisement as an organization to reach out to broader scope of OH practitioners. The 31st ICOH conference was to be held in Seoul where the current president, Doo Yong Park and secretariat office are based. Therefore the decision was taken to participate in ICOH and open an exhibition booth.
Objectives
To advertise ANOH, emphasis on the organization being network-oriented
To gather information on who is interested and what their expectations toward the network are
To discuss current OH issues in Asia
To recruit potential members
To accomplish the above objectives in a friendly and festive way
What we did
Photo-taking and printing services by setting-up a photo zone and a photo printer at the booth
Gathered email list for further contact
Achievement
A great number of visitors dropped by the booth and took their photos at the photo-zone
Total 152 visitors left their email addresses for further contact

2010 IOHA Conference, Rome, Italy “The idea of a network for occupational hygiene in Asia came from an informal meeting of IOHA Board members from Asian countries in Rome IOHA 2010. I thought the next step would be an open round table discussion so that this idea could be further developed.
